H. E. Mr. Fahd bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel

His Excellency Mr. Fahd bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel was appointed Minister of Health in Rabi` Al-Awwal 10, 1443, October 15, 2021, after he had been Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development since 2016. His Excellency Mr. Al-Jalajel held several positions before assuming his current role; he was the Acting Deputy Minister for Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) in 2012, and Advisor to the Minister and General Supervisor of Information Technology at MOCI in 2009, and Advisor to the Minister for Information Technology at MOCI in 2008. He was also Acting Director General of Information Technology at Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) in 2007, and before that, he was Director of Networks and Operations at the same authority in 2001. His Excellency Mr. Al-Jalajil received his Master’s degree in Computer Science from St. Joseph University, Pennsylvania, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from King Saud University, and he also received an Executive Certificate in Leadership and Management from MIT SLOAN SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT in the United States. His Excellency Mr. Al-Jalajel currently chairs the presidency and membership of several councils and committees, including the Saudi Health Council, Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Public Health Authority, Board of Trustees of Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, Council of Cooperative Health Insurance, and Medical Cities and Specialized Hospitals Regulatory.
